1st Hair Cut :)

Okay - so our cute little boy was definitely born with hair - infact, a little TOO much hair in one spot (see pictures below). He looked like an old man that only had a patch of hair above his neck. Needless to say, I decided to give him his first hair cut - yes, his FIRST hair cut at a mere 2 months old. I couldn't have my little man lookin' like an grandpa - so we pulled out the bumbo and made our very own barbershop!

2 Month Pictures

Boy has time flown by - it's insane how much Krew has grown. When he was born, he weighed 6 pounds 7 ounces, 20 inches long - he now weighs 12 pounds 10 ounces, 24 inches long, yes I know, quite the chunker! He is such a joy and blessing in our lives. I never thought I could love something as much as I do him - well...other than Michael ;)I know that the Lord sent us this little miracle and I feel so privledged to have him. We were bored this morning, so we had a little photo shoot...here are some of my favorites!

Yes, I ran out of names for his facial expressions - haha, but as you can see, he has many. I'm a little in love with his kid if you can't tell :) I took over 100 pictures this morning and narrowed them down to these 10. Hope you enjoyed!

Bumbo Boy

We have had a little bit of a fussy last few hours - I tried his bouncer, holding him, the swing, leaving him out in the snow (haha kidding about the snow) - but yes, nothing seemed to be working. So I got this brilliant idea to try his bumbo chair! This was a new experience for him - I thought "maybe he will love this!?"....

"Ok - maybe I like this...maybe..."

"On second thought...I'm NOT okay with this"

"In fact, I HATE this"

Well...we won't give up on the bumbo just yet - perhaps we will try it again soon :)

Even though it's been a "fussy day", I know there are MANY more to come and I still absolutely LOVE being a mom :)



2 Months

WOW - it's so hard to believe that our little Krew is 2 Months old tomorrow. Time seriously has flown by. He is such a blessing to us and has such a fun personality! Here are a few updates:

- He's definitely a champ when it comes to eating, he weighs 11lbs 11ozs now - he's going to be a big boy!

- He's starting to smile when we talk to him, I LOVE it - he has this adorable side grin (like his cousin Tyler) that will definitely win over all the ladies (not that I want that to happen...haha)

- He's growing out his clothes SO fast - he is pretty much going to skip the 0 to 3 phase

- This is one of my favorites: he's almost sleeping through the night. For the past week or so he's slept 6+ hours straight :)

- When my put my cheek up to his lips, he gives mommy a kiss (okay - he probably just thinks he's getting ready to eat, but hey - I'll keep thinking it's "kisses")

You know you are a mom when...

Michael just went back to school for the semester, therefore -its official - being a stay at home mom has begun...and I LOVE it. I am so grateful that I have this opportunity to stay at home with my little man. I have noticed a few things along the way that I really didn't think of before actually becoming a mom - here are a few thoughts:

You know you are a mom when...

- It takes you 3 days to catch up on 1 episode of the Bachelor :)

- 3PM roles around and somehow you have forgotten to shower (we are progressively becoming better at this!)

- You talk in a "baby voice" more than your adult voice :)

- You get sad thinking about how one day your child will be married - and leave you..haha, sounds crazy, but this thought has crossed my mind a few times

- Your goal of the day is to find a binki that your child will actually take!

- I wake up every day - and cherish the moments with my baby boy!

Being a mom is the BEST!
